HELP for Healthcare providers is a safety management continuum designed to reduce the possibility of injury during episodes of aggressive behavior. Using lectures, group discussions, group activities, and skills training, participants will learn to respond effectively to manage aggressive behavior. Participants will also be trained to instruct caregivers on how to use these techniques as a method for managing aggression while providing healthcare services

HELP for Direct Care providers is a safety management program for residential treatment facilities. This program when implemented in its entirety will reduce the possibility of injury during episodes of aggressive behavior by helping the learner to focus on safe functional problem solutions. Using lectures, group discussions, group activities, and skills training, participants will learn to respond effectively to manage aggressive behavior. Participants will also be trained to instruct caregivers on how to use these techniques as a method for managing aggression in the workplace.

Education

HELP for Educators is a classroom safety management program designed to provide educators with classroom safety strategies that will reduce the possibility of staff and student injuries during episodes of aggressive behavior. Lectures, group discussions, group activities, and skills training activities provide educators with additional classroom management tools. Participants will learn to respond effectively and respectfully to avoid and redirect aggressive behavior. Instructor candidates will be trained to instruct teachers on how to use these techniques for reducing aggression in the classroom.

Guardians

HELP for Guardians is a compassionate supportive focus on communication skills that may need to be refined or re-established for managing challenging discipline issues. HELP for Guardians will provide communication strategies for redirecting children who present anger, defiance, frustration and even aggression. Through the use of lectures, group discussions and group activities, this program will provide practical, supportive communication techniques for parents and guardians.
